25 Years of Giving Back! #cbhm #cbhm2016 #VT #NH #LebRecreation #VermontTourism #halfmarathons #WoodstockVT

Celebrate 25 Years!
On Sunday June 5, close to 2000 runners will run in the 25th Covered Bridges Half Marathon (CBHM). Since the first race in 1992, CBHM has donated over $1.2 million to non-profits in the Upper Valley!

Each year CBHM runners collect donations supporting our Charities. You don't have to run to support our Charities helping our neighbors!

Our Charities:

Health Connections of the Upper Valley

Have you ever wondered why a young person turns to drugs, gets smashed on alcohol, or given all we know about tobacco, starts smoking? As someone who is running a half marathon, you know the importance of making healthy choices, but many young people don’t- for a variety of reasons. Health Connections of the Upper Valley is a 501c3 health promotion organization that applies best practices to our outreach programs: alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention education and community policy development, nutrition education and afterschool cooking classes, and quit tobacco programs. Your support will help us to sustain our outreach work.

David’s House is a 20-bedroom, home-away-from-home for families with children receiving medical care through the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Founded in 1986, the house is named in memory of David Cyr who passed away at age 5 after a long battle with leukemia.

Celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2016, David’s House is a registered 501c3 nonprofit in Lebanon NH that has served as a haven for over 13,500 families who have needed overnight accommodations. Guest families include: 9,183 families from NH; 3,084 families from VT; 1,190 families from 42 other U. S. states; 1 family from a U. S. Territory; 43 families from other nations and counting!

We provide a warm, caring, fully stocked “home” for families whose worlds have been turned upside down. Guests may come for a day or for many months – it all depends on what the ill or injured child needs. David’s House operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help families stay together and stay strong during this most difficult time.

We charge no fees for our housing, food or laundry services, so fundraising is very important and we’d like to ask you to help by joining Team David’s House in the upcoming CBHM.
